I was privileged to witness a beautiful collaboration between singing artists; BELINDA CARLISLE OFFICIAL and Simrit Kaur Khalsa last night at Golden Bridge Yoga in Hollywood, CA
There was a buzz in the audience, as everyone was waiting to hear sweet sounds fill the evening from the artists. Simrit performed selections from her previous material as well as new songs from her new album - The Oracle Sessions, all the while Belinda doing harmonies with her and later, Simrit doing harmonies for Belinda.
Later in the evening, Belinda did a couple of her songs for the fans also. She performed "Circle In The Sand" as well as "Heaven Is A Place On Earth" - and now hearing the lyrics closely, seeing how they could be kirtan mantras or New Thought songs.
"They say in heaven love comes first
We`ll make heaven a place on earth"
The band was wonderful, and consisted of Belinda's guitar bandmate, Charlotte Caffey from The Gogos, Gabe Lopez on keyboards and Norm on drums.
Looking forward to hearing more future musical endeavors between the two songstresses.
